Update: LAST Conference Sydney moves to June 2026

Posted on Updated on

The next edition of LAST Conference Sydney has a revised date of Friday June 19 2026 at the same venue (NSW Teachers’ Federation Conference Centre, Surry Hills).

Why we’re making this change

The organising team feels we need more time to gain the traction necessary to produce the event that the Sydney community of practitioners deserves. We want to have more time to deliver on our commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration.

LAST Conference has always been about bringing together the best minds across disciplines – engineers, product managers, designers, data scientists, researchers, delivery leads, agilists, and startup founders. We want to ensure we can deliver on that promise with the quality of speakers, content, and networking opportunities that define a great LAST event.

What happens next

We’ve already contacted those who registered about their options.

Registration is now open for the June 2026 date, and we’re still accepting submissions with the submission deadline extended. You can register at our registration page or submit a proposal at our submissions page.

We also need people from the Sydney community to get involved – because the magic of LAST happens when we all contribute to breaking down silos together.

You know those moments when a designer shares an insight that transforms how an engineer thinks about a problem? Or when a product manager and a data scientist discover they’re solving the same challenge from different angles? Those connections – those “aha” moments that only happen when disciplines intersect – that’s what we’re building toward.

But we can’t create that magic alone. We need your help with advocacy, spreading the word to groups and communities that would love LAST but don’t know about us. We need compelling content that sparks genuine collaboration. We need organising support that brings people together across roles and industries.

If you want to help create those breakthrough moments that only happen when we step outside our professional bubbles, let us know at [email protected]. Let’s build something together that reminds us why cross-disciplinary collaboration isn’t just nice to have – it’s essential.

In the meantime, there are still opportunities to connect with the LAST community:

  • LAST Conference Brisbane – 3 October 2025 at TAFE South Bank
  • LAST Conference Melbourne – 21 November 2025 at RMIT University
  • LAST Club – Join our free online talks, the community, and access our extensive content library at clubhouse.lastconference.com*

We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work to make LAST Conference Sydney 2026 worth the wait.

See you at the intersection of disciplines (just a bit later than planned),

The LAST Conference Sydney Team
